Instructions
Step 0 - Loading the Router
El router can be charged with the included MicroUSB-USB charging cable connected to un 2.0A max charger. while this charging battery icon will flash y when it is fixed the battery will be fully charged.
Step 1 - Opening the lid
La cover of the portable wifi router can be opened with a fingernail on the side tab.
Step 2 - Battery Saver
La battery includes a plastic protector that must be removed in order to use the product.
Step 3 - Remove SIM PIN Code
To use the SIM card with the Router it is need to temporarily remove the SIM pin code. You can find the setting on your mobile in security, privacy or similar settings. If you don't find the option, search on google: “remove sim card pin code + mobile model/brand”.
Step 4 - Insert SIM Card
Enter the Micro SIM card as it appears in the image checking the orientation.
Can use the included NanoSIM to MicroSIM adapter checking that it is entered correctly. PTo facilitate its introduction, you can put double-sided adhesive tape so that the card is glued to the adapter.
Step 5 - Wifi Network Name and Password
El wifi network name and password can be found on the sticker behind the battery.
By default it will be:
- Wi-Fi network name: 4G-MIFI-****
- Password: 1234567890
Step 6 - Power on
To turn on the wifi router we must press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
Wait a few seconds to the screen turns on.
Step 7 - Status Lights
After approx. one minute It will connect to the network and display the following information:
- Signal Level and Connection Type
- Battery Percentage
- Wifi On/Off and Connected Devices
- Mobile operator
- Number of unread SMS
Below the previous icons appears the Wi-Fi network name, password and mobile data consumed.
Si The operator does not appear or "NO SIM" appears, we have to verify that we have removed the PIN from the MicroSIM, the orientation of the MicroSIM card inserted, that there is coverage and that we have mobile data enabled in our operator. Also, check compatible bands.
Step 8 - Query and Change Parameters
From a device connected to Wi-Fi We can consult all the parameters and change the configuration by entering the url from a browser: 192.168.0.1 and entering: admin in username and password.
We can modify the name of the wifi network and its password in Router>User Management.
Step 8.1 - Hide Wifi Router
Remember first configure the devices that you will use with the router like your mobile, computer or spy camera.
- Remove SIM PIN on a mobile and activate the card verifying that you receive calls and have mobile data
- turn on the router holding the button down for 3 seconds (remember to remove the battery sticker from the router)
- connect to router on a mobile or computer and put url in browser: 192.168.0.1
- In username and password, put: admin and access
– In the top menu, access «wireless" and later "Wireless Security Settings«
– Change the option of «Network Visibility Status» to Invisible
– Finally, click on «Save»In the lower right corner
Step 9 - Reset
To reset the wifi router we must open the lid and while it is on hold the reset button until the lights go out.
After wait 30 seconds about to factory reset.
Frequent Problems
1 - Does not turn on
The router shipped lightly charged. Can be charged with the included MicroUSB-USB charging cable connected to un 2.0A max charger. while this charging battery icon will have lightning bolt icon y when the battery is removed it will be fully charged.
2 - No Signal
Review the following steps:
- La MicroSIM card orientation is correct (Step 3 in the instructions)
- You have mobile data on your line.
- Ha removed sim pin.
- There are coverage in the area.
- El router is loaded.
- The compatible bands of the product match those of your country:
The compatible bands of the device are:
- 4G/FDD:B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28*
- 4G TDD:B38/39/40/41
- 3G WCDMA: B1/B5/B8
3 - Forgot password/Doesn't work
If you have forgotten the password or it doesn't work because the router parameters are wrong, you should reset it:
To reset the wifi router we must open the lid and while it is on hold the reset button until the lights go out.
It must also check that the plastic has been removed from the battery.
